I am catching up with posting online my articles.
This is the continuation of the previous article:
MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 1
MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 2
MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 3
MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 4
In the last couple of weeks I have been looking at the point of work and rest in my life as I have allowed imbalance within this point which was affecting my health as well as my general effectiveness at work.
Thus I have become more aware of recognizing my critical point of tiredness and once I detect it I try to correct it as soon as possible. For example yesterday I started to notice that I am approaching this point. And so I have taken my foot of the accelerator and I worked less. But this was not enough and thus today I have pushed myself to go to the beach, have a swim in the ocean and spend some time in the nature. And now I see immediate results in how I feel in my body. I feel more rested and I know that tomorrow I will be able to work much more efficient. On the other hand I know that if did not do it then I would continue to accumulate the tiredness and soon I would have to face the consequences of it.
Now... I am still facing the point of having many tasks to waiting in queue to be completed but at least I am not creating for myself unnecessary stress and I do them when I can. Yes... I would like to have all of them done so that I could do other things. But I realise that I have to accept and admit that there are certain laws and rules within this reality and I have to go with them instead fighting them. If I follow patiently the principle of doing things "step by step" I will have things done at some point. Trying to do things as soon as possible will also get me to this point of completing my tasks but I know that in the end it will take more time to complete them.
Do you know the saying about the turtle winning the race ?
This is it... if I continue to fight the laws of this reality I will only get tired and I will prolong the time necessary to complete the race because I will be obliged to have a prolonged rest in the middle of the race as it is impossible to run the whole marathon like the short distance sprinter.
So this is my update in regards to establishing balance between work in rest in my life.
