My relationship with work and rest

I am catching up with posting online my articles.

This is the continuation of the previous article:

MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 1

I know that it is possible to work at high revs for long period of time. But then it is important to remember that the margin for error is much lesser and if you are not careful then you will pay for it. And so it was with me. I got sick. Luckily my friend has helped me to get out of there and I am good now but the problem with unbalanced relationship between work and rest is still present in my life.

And so here I am at the point when I have decided to change it as I see that otherwise I will have to face and experience unpleasant consequences in my life - possible sickness ( high probability ), stress, burnout etc.

And so here is my plan of action: 1. My daily job - I do not have fixed working hours as I provide service to the public and thus it is all changing and fluctuating constantly and it is influenced by the seasons in the tourism. Because this job is my main income ( money ) thus it is my top priority and I cannot make any major cuts here. Though there is one important point here, which I must take into consideration. And thus in the periods of intensive work I must put myself a daily and weekly limit in regards to the number of clients which I am allowed to attend. This is very important as I have noticed that crossing the limits creates too much turbulence and messes up with my whole agenda and total effectiveness.

Obviously ( due to the nature of my work ) there will be moments when I will have to cross the limit but the whole point here is that I should avoid doing it as much as possible. And I'd say that planning and setting daily and weekly limits will help me to manage this element which in turn will help me to balance my current relationship with work and rest.

To be continued
