7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 1065 - MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 4

GO BACK

My relationship with work and rest

I am catching up with posting online my articles.

This is the continuation of the previous article:

MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 1
MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 2
MY RELATIONSHIP WITH WORK AND REST - PART 3

And so doing 2 full time jobs ( daily massage job and later working on the computer ) with many jobs waiting in the queue for some weeks and months I have found myself at the point where:
- I have learned how to become very disciplined to be able to cope with the accumulating load of responsibilities;
- I have cut my rest time which in turned has bitten me on my ass and I got sick.

Thus as you can see there is some positive aspect to this whole situation as well. But still the negative aspect ( getting sick ) is overwhelming it all and I see that it is not worth. So it all has led me to the conclusion that it is much more effective for me to find the stability and balance between work and rest as this will allow me to get much further in the long run.

I have already set myself some limits in regards to how much I am allowed to work. I know that there will be moments when I will work more but as this is specificity of my job and sometimes there are unpredicted situations in life which require extra attention. I take it into consideration but still I will make everything possible to keep up with my plan and limits. Obviously if I see that this is not working then I will change it or make appropriate corrections. But for know this seems to be most reasonable, common sense solution. This is not difficult to apply. The only "difficulty" lies within my mind and my habits ( e.g. desire to finish the project as soon as possible ). Obviously if I break/stop my habits I will get empowered and I will reach my full potential. And on the contrary if I do not do it, then I will get at least sick.

And so this is the point of self responsibility. And this is also how I create my life. If I get sick as a result of working too much then I am the one to be blamed for. If I try to blame for it somebody else ( e.g. doctor who gave me wrong tablets for headaches, back pains etc. ) then it will only show my own stupidity.

As always it is nothing complicated although it may seem to be so. In the end it is all common sense and logic. If I apply practically that what I know that I should do then I will succeed with my projects. If not then I will pay the price ( health ) for ignoring it. It is all really simple.

To be continued
