I am catching up with posting online my articles.
Today I visited couple of my friends. And one of them had some problems with the leg. Of course she knows that I am a massage therapist and I could possibly help her. And so I asked her some questions about the history of the problem and then I investigated her body. During the investigation I noticed that she is presenting quite severe muscle tightness on one of the sides of her body. I did some further investigation and I realised that the most probable cause of the problem is the simple muscle tightness due to passive lifestyle ( no exercises, no stretching etc. ). And then I showed her some exercises and I made a plan for her so that she could do something to help herself with this annoying problem.
Of course I cannot say what the exact cause of the problem is but still doing some exercises and stretching is something that she can do herself without any need from the specialist. The only thing is that I showed her something that is effective because I have a lot of experience with it.
Anyway later during our conversation she mentioned to me that she might struggle with keeping up with the plan as her self-discipline is her weak point. I said that this is her own decision about she does with my advice. I explained that I see this kind of behaviour quite regularly in my praxis. I encourage her to break through this mind pattern and do it but apart from this I cannot really do anything more. And so I went home.
When I got home I said:
"Wait a second Greg... Is there really nothing that you can do in this situation ?"
