Not so long ago we have found out thanks to Edward Snowden that United States is spying on almost everybody in this whole world. Well... they have tapped even into the phone of Angela Merkel - the Chancellor of Germany. But this is not all because we have been also told that NSA can turn on the camera and the microphone in our mobile phone and computer without us knowing about it and do their spying on us.
Obviously the general public ( including Merkel ) is not happy about this whole ordeal with somebody listening to their phone conversations but nobody can really do anything about it. And I have also heard that one of the judges in USA has announced officially that in the end it is all legal because the government is doing it with the intention to prevent terrorist attacks.
This objective of preventing the terrorist attacks makes sense and it seems to be genuine but it is also quite clear and obvious that this is not the only reason why the government is doing this mass spying on almost everybody in the world. I make this statement - without going into the conspiracy theories - based on the facts showing on multitude of occasions that the American government is not an "angel" and it is making decisions based on greed and desire to be in charge and control of the rest of the world.
But let's leave behind all of this political shit and let's have a look at the psychological aspect behind it. From the psychological point of view I can say with certainty that these mass spying is not going to eliminate the terrorist attacks. It may prevent some of them but it will not eliminate them completely. And it looks like those who are in charge of the spying don't understand. Because there will be always somebody who will find a new way to go around and do what they want to do. And we have seen it in the recent years on multitude of occasions. The FBI, Pentagon, Secret Service and other agencies have access to almost unlimited financial and technological resources but still some people from the street were able to bypass the security systems and break into the their computers. And this will go on all the time. The government will be developing new unbreakable security systems and other people from the street will be breaking them. Obviously those who will be caught will be punished severely as an example but in the end this will not stop everybody. It is human behaviour and it cannot be stopped.
To be continued...
