In the previous articles I have written about the fanatics of natural medicine and their opposite - those who only trust doctors and fear the "shamans" and "witches". But let's leave these 2 extremes and let's have a look at my case. My body has got sick and as a practitioner of natural medicine I have decided to treat myself and with the assistance of my friend who also works with natural medicine and through this I can put to the test all of my knowledge and experience and see whether alternative medicine is an effective method of treatment. The case is quite complicated but I will describe more it the next article.

In the beginning - when I became aware of the first symptoms - I have not done anything because I have thought that I will go away by itself. But because after 4 weeks it has not disappeared but it actually got worse I started to look for a way to treat it. And as I said before I have decided to treat it with the natural medicine. Unfortunately the treatment has not been effective and the sickness continued to develop and became worse. In this moment I thought: "well... the natural medicine is not effective on its own..." and I have decided to ask for a help a medical doctor. And this was also a moment when I wrote the first article in this series about "putting to the test natural medicine". So you see... I have decided to not be a stupid fanatic of natural medicine which could have fatal consequences for my body and I have made an appointment with the doctor. On the first visit I have received the injection and this helped to reduce temporarily the intensity of the symptoms. And I was recommended to make an appointment with the specialist doctor. And so I did. 3 days later I went to see the specialist but the whole experience has left me in shock - after 5 min I was back on the street with the prescription in my hand. Yes... 5 min and that was all. The doctor has looked at the symptoms for less then 1 min, he diagnosed it as an eczema, he asked me if there is are similar cases in my family, he wrote the prescription and he asked me to make another appointment after 10 days.

So... I went home and I started to think about it. I thought: "this is unbelievable", this cannot be true...". The next morning when I woke up I had it clear in my head - I am not going to take the medicine from the doctor and I am going to continue with the natural medicine because I know that the sickness which I have has deep rooted causes inside of me and unless I work with them it will not go away. The medicine from the doctor will possibly work efficiently with the symptoms on the surface but it will not work with the cause.

Now... my symptoms ( eczema ) is not severe yet and I can cope with it. Although it is not contagious I have decided to not work for few weeks and I dedicate this free time to myself and the treatments. But I am not excluding the possibility of coming back to the doctors when I see that the sickness advances and becomes nastier. And I recommend the same to you. If you are going through the serious sickness which puts at risk your life ( e.g. cancer ) don't hesitate to go to the doctors who can effectively treat the symptoms. Yes... it is very possible that it will create a lot of side effects on your body but at least you can deal with it later. And if you die as a consequence of you being the fanatic of alternative medicine then you will not be able to do it anymore.
