I am catching up with posting online my articles.
Now imagine that it is exactly the same with everything else in your life. Everything that is in your life... it takes some space, energy and other resources. In our example with the clothes which take the space in your wardrobe it is not just about the physical space in your furniture. It also takes some space in your mind and your being. You need to spend some energy to maintain it there. Because you have rather small wardrobe then the effort of maintaining it is relatively small. But if you had to maintain the whole warehouse of clothes then the story would be different.
Thus whatever it is in our life ( work, friends, family, house, car, sport etc. ) we maintain it there and this maintenance requires some energy to be there. Here comes also the point of responsibility for everything that is in our life which also means that we are the creators of our life in every single aspect and element of it.
Thus once the wardrobe is full and we want a new piece of cloth then we need to make some space by either giving the old clothes away, selling it etc. And the same rule applies to our entire life. If we want to experience something new in our life then we also need to make some space by giving away the old experiences. And this is the point that we struggle to understand.
As I said before your life is full. You have your work, home, family, house, car etc. And all of this requires your energy and other resources to maintain it in your life. But apart from this there are also other elements which form part of our life and which require very often immense amount of energy. For example your habits, behavioral patterns etc. I repeat it again... it all forms part of your life and it all requires the energy to be able to exist in your life. And thus if you want to experience something new you must give away these old things. It is so simple yet so difficult to comprehend for most of humanity. And so we are stuck in the same old shit. We wish to have something new but we do not let go off the old.
