Yo'll know... this is interesting. When you go shopping and you buy yourself something then generally you feel better. And that is why we have the phrase "shopping therapy". Anyway the thing with buying things/services is that you spend money on something that will benefit you in some way.
And now we can look at the taxes. The concept behind the taxes is that we pay money and in exchange the government is providing us with certain services ( health care, education, protection, cleaning etc. ). So in a sense it is like going shopping and buying something that would benefit us in some way.
But then there is a difference between spending money in the shop and paying taxes. And this difference is that while almost everybody likes to go shopping, almost nobody likes to pay taxes. Yo'll know... if we did not have the government then we would have to pay somebody for these services anyway.
So what is the difference here ?
And why would we prefer to pay to somebody privately for the services rather than paying the government ?
