When and as I see myself getting afraid while watching horror movie about the snakes I stop, I breathe and I realise that the horror film does not show the truth about the snakes and their behaviour but instead the director tries to exaggerate about their behaviour so that the film may arise the emotions within the spectator.
When and as I see myself going/traveling to a new place where there live snakes and I start to get anxious/nervous/afraid I stop, I breathe and I investigate/study about the snakes and their behaviour and also about how to prevent possible encounter with the snakes and then also I find out about the first help in the case of the snakebites.
When and as I find myself in the situation when I meet the snake by surprise and I have emotional reaction of fear I stop, I breathe and I realise that the snake is most probably also surprised by this encounter with me and he is also most probably afraid of me and he will try to defend himself if he feels threatened; thus I breathe and I remove myself from the proximity of the snake and later I ask/call for help specialist who could help me to remove the snake from my house, building etc.
When and as I see myself being afraid of going out to the forest/bush/field because of possible encounter with the snakes I stop, I breathe and I investigate first about the snakes and their behaviour so that I may act accordingly in the case of the encounter with the snake instead of acting on my emotions of fear and phobia.
When and as I see myself getting afraid when I see snake I stop, I breathe and I realise that snake is a being equal to me and he has the right to live on this planet and as long as I do not threaten his survival he should not attack me.
When and as I see myself going to a new place and having a fear of snakes because I remember the film about the snakes who attack people for no reason I stop, I breathe and I investigate whether snakes live in this area and if they do I learn how to prevent the encounter and also I learn about the first aid in the case of snakebite.
When and as I see myself being afraid of the snakes I stop, I breathe and I realise that applying the proper first aid in the case of snakebite is effective even with the most venomous snakes; so I learn proper first aid so that I may know how to deal effectively with the snakebites.
Doing self-forgiveness is not going to protect me magically from the snakes. We live here on earth where there are snakes and once we cross our paths and I step accidently on the snake then he will most probably try to bite me as a self-defence. But the self-forgiveness helps to remove the emotional element which normally makes people act irrationally which also increases the possibility of being beaten by a snake. And then why should I live in distress and anxiety about the snakes if they don't live in my environment ( just like the island where my friend lives ) ?
