I am catching up with posting online my articles.
The changes in regards to life standard in Poland over the last 20 years are incredible. This change is easier for me to see because I live in another country and I come here only sporadically during my holiday. And thus I can see a lot of new and luxury cars and houses, more shopping centres, the infrastructure is much better, it all looks cleaner and more beautiful. People wear nice and beautiful clothes and I see that they go out more frequently to restaurants, bars etc.
20 years ago Poland was still post-communist country and today it is a modern European country.
This is really good for Poles who have been struggling with the communist regime for so many years and finally they have a chance to have a better life. But here is one important question:
Is everything so perfect and beautiful here ?
Well... if you have a lot of money and you come here as a tourist for a 1-2 weeks visit you will probably only see the nice and beautiful part of it. And if you go back to your country you will tell everybody exactly that.
But you'll see... you would have exactly different impression about everything if you came here without money and you would have to start everything right from the beginning: house, food, clothes and job. If you were highly trained and experienced specialist then probably you would be ok but if you had to get a basic job ( e.g. waiter, cleaner, office worker ) then you would see the reality of Poland.
