Stretching exercises for health

I am catching up with posting online my articles.


I have decided to write today about the stretching exercises because I see many clients in my practice who come with various pains and aches ( or even serious problems ) in the body and which could have been very easy treated and prevented at home.

You-ll know... this is nothing complicated. The muscles in the body should be "supple and flexible". The simple reason for it is that once the muscle is tight then the body cannot compensate and respond to the changes.

To explain it more in a simple way let-s have a look at this example. Thus let's say that you feel that your muscles in the lower back are tight. You don't have pain yet but you know that something gives you this uncomfortable feeling of limited movements. Then it happens that one day you try to get up quickly from bed or sofa and... "boom"... you get sharp pain and you can hardly move.

Now... one of the main reasons why this happens is because the muscles are too tight and the body does not have the margin for compensation and it cannot adjust itself to changing situation ( like getting up from sofa ). If the muscle was flexible enough then you would get up from the sofa and all would be OK. But because the muscles is short then you reach a certain point ( when you stand up ) when the muscle starts to pull the bone out of its place and when the force and the momentum of the movement is strong enough then the bone gets out of its place and starts to push on the nerves giving you this ugly sensation of sharp pain.

You-ll know... this is all common sense and logic and there should be no need to talk about it. Unfortunately this thing with common sense and logic is just the theory or I could even say UTOPIA. Because the reality is that even the professional athletes get the pain and aches resulting from lack of stretching.

We do not need to do hours upon hours of stretching. But we should get to know our body and we should learn to recognize the symptoms of tightness and how to correct them with simple and easy stretching exercises.

And believe me that this simple thing with stretching will prevent you many serious problems and injuries in your body, which are firstly painful, secondly costly and thirdly time wasting.
