I am catching up with posting online my articles.
Have you noticed how the apples from the supermarkets have changed their look over the last 10 years ?
They have more shine these days than they had in the past.
There is no doubt that this shiny brilliance makes them - kind of - more attractive for the customers but the question here is:
"Whether this is really healthy for us ?"
There some videos out there on Youtube and Facebook showing that if you take a sharp knife you may scrap some "waxy like" substance from the skin of the apple. I say "waxy like" as this is not a wax but some kind of plastic coating because it gives unpleasant odor when you try to burn it with the flame.
I realize that this plastic coating is put there for 3 reasons. First of all it is there to make the apples and other foods look more attractive. Secondly it is applied to protect the fruits from the bugs and worms and to extend their shelf life. And thirdly it is to make more profit.
But unfortunately within this we do not realize that we are compromising our health. Look... our body is not designed to digest and get any nutrients from plastic and thus we should not eat. But this is what you do when you eat these apples. Maybe there are some effective methods to remove this coating but most of the people do not know about it and they simply wash the apples with water ( which unfortunately does nothing to this plastic layer ) and they end up eating it.
