I am catching up with posting online my articles.
On the Day 914 I have written article about "Preventing Sickness". I have written it because I started to notice that my body gets out of balance. The main symptoms were concentrated in the stomach area and I had the feeling of light acidity. Under "normal circumstances" you would go in this situation to the doctor ( or directly to pharmacy because you saw an advertising about a wonderful medicine to help with the acidity ) and you would receive a prescription for some medication to help with the acidity. Then you would go to pharmacy to get the medicine, you would take it as prescribed and you would continue with your life as normal. Of course I do not have any official statistics about this topic but yet I am very certain that this scenario happens in 99.9% of cases.
Now... I am a therapist of natural medicine and thus I do not follow this scenario as described above. But it does not matter what my profession is. What most important is that I have learned in my life that the cause of the problem is not where the pain is. I have learned that the pain is a symptom and a way our body is communicating us that something is not right. Thus I did not go to the health food store to buy some herbs or natural remedies to help me with the acidity in my stomach. Maybe this remedy would be better than the medicine from the doctor as the side effects from taking them are usually much lesser but still this would again be treating the symptoms.
Thus instead of reaching for some external remedies I looked at myself and my situation in my life and I realized that I am stressing my body with excessive work. In my case this was first of all working a lot with massages and secondly I continued work at home with computer at least few hours a day. I did not get paid for it but this was like another full time job. And working so many hours intensively without sufficient rest got my brain to overheat. And this overheating was later reflected in the acidity in my stomach. So this is the thing with looking away from the symptoms and trying to identify the real the cause, which usually is not where the pain is.
Since then I have applied the correction in my life and I have put myself the limits in regards to working hours and I dedicated more time towards rest. Apart from this I stopped getting involved into new ventures unless I finish with other ongoing projects. And today ( about 5 weeks later ) I do not have anymore problems with my stomach. It is all working fine I did not spent a single cent on doctors, medications or any other natural remedies.
One more thing... this is not always the case and sometimes it is necessary to take medicine for the simple reason that you have ignored what your body has been telling you for a long time and thus the damage is too great and thus you need to support your body with medicine and/or supplements. You need to assess your own situation and act accordingly. But now you may know at least that going to the doctor is not the only way to heal your body. Use common sense and logic and you will be surprised how much you can do yourself.
