I am catching up with posting online my articles.
Today was the soccer game between Mexico and Netherlands at 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brasil. I was walking past a bar and I have decided to stop by and watch this game. The game was coming to the end and the Mexico was leading 1-0 and it looked like they are going to eliminate one of the strongest teams at this event.
But in the 88th minute of the game Netherland equalized and soon later in the 94th minute they were rewarded the 11 meters penalty shot because one of the Mexican players committed a foul. And so the Dutch player is preparing himself for the shot and in the meantime the camera man shows one of the Mexican players being on his knees holding his hands together and making a common ritual of a prayer to god or holy mother of god ( Mary ).
You'll know... this thing with the soccer players and pretty much all sportsmen praying and/or showing their gratitude for good performance or luck on the field is very common and all of us who watch sport events either live or on TV have seen it more than once. And this little ritual has become very normal and very acceptable.
But here is one very important question which by the way not so many dare to ask.
So... Ready ?
Why did god not save the Mexicans despite of their sincere and most genuine prayer ?
