I am catching up with posting online my articles. I moved to a new place and I was without fixed internet access for almost a month. I was also very busy with work and that is why I got this big delay with posting online. Though I did not skip a single day with writing my articles.
I was so proud of myself in the beginning when I realized that with deep breathing and stopping my mind I would be able to stop and reverse the symptoms of cold and flu. And I was successful on 2 occasions. But unfortunately it doesn't work this time.
The night before was really tough because the phlegm in my throat was irritating the tissue around and I had cough which prevent me from sleeping. But yet not being able to sleep was not as annoying as the cough and the phlegm inside there.
Though in the morning something started to move and change and the phlegm started to come out ( while blowing my nose ) and this was immediately giving me relieve in the throat. Today the day was very warm again ( about 27 degrees ) and this also helped me to feel better during the day. But in the evening and now at night it is worse again. I have more cough.
I don't use onion anymore because this make any change anymore but I cut clove of garlic in half and I put it into my nose for about 20 min. This helps at least temporarily to open the passage ways and the breathing is a little bit easier. But yet I need to mention that my nose it is not so much obstructed as it used to be in the past in similar situations and I can breathe deep pretty much all the time.
Now... you may want to ask a question: "why I am writing so much about the common cold if there are millions of people around the world going through the same situation ?".
Well... as I said in the beginning I thought that I will be able to stop and reverse the symptoms of my flu with deep breathing and stopping the mind and I wanted to share my experience with you. Now I see that this did not work and I am "suffering" pretty much in the same way as millions of other people around the world right in this moment. I say "right in this moment with me" because I have noticed that here - where I live - there are many people coughing and not feeling well. And many of these people are tourists and thus they either brought it here or they will carry this sickness with them to their countries and homes infecting more people there.
Anyway... the second reason why I am writing about this common cold is because this is the first time when I look at it from different perspective. This time I don't face it from the point of view of victim and also I am trying to maintain my awareness of breath all the time. And this is new for me and quite interesting.
