Yes... that is true. An average person participating in this event either directly by viewing the games in the stadium or indirectly by viewing the same game on TV doesn't really think about it. But the fact is that this type of events attracts many rich people who apart from watching the games are also going to the parties every day, drink alcohol, take drugs etc. - just like every other normal stupid human. And of course they are also using the services of the prostitutes. And we're not talking only about average rich person but also about the top executives, presidents, kings etc. I hope that you are already aware that these people also pay for prostitutes and quite often it doesn't matter that they have wife and family at home.
And the same happened at the Worldcup in South Africa in 2010 and is happening at every major sporting event or as a matter of fact at any major event. Of course they don't see anything wrong with this and even though someone somehow has a moment of "waking up" and starts to ask himself uncomfortable questions about morality of it, than his friends immediately help him to clear the doubts by saying: "common man... you pay money and the prostitutes have agreed to do it... it is a fair exchange... you have worked hard for that money so at least enjoy it now... you deserve it".
Whether this is a fair exchange I have serious doubts about it. The men usually never ask the prostitute why they doing it. They think that if they pay money than they can do whatever they want and their hands are clean. And the fact is that majority of prostitutes are doing this not because they love it but because they have been forced to do it because of their ( or their family ) difficult financial situation or because they are sex slaves and they are forced to do it by the pimp under the threat that something will happen to them or their family member ( including death ).
And thus how can you say that this is fair exchange ? You are just stupid dickhead who intentionally closes the eyes to not see and not know the facts and the truth about it and finds some stupid excuses ( e.g. this is a fair exchange because I pay money ) to make yourself look innocent.
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that paying for services of the prostitute is a fair exchange.
I forgive myself that I have not allowed myself to realise that every time I pay for the services of prostitute without having certainty that she is doing this out of free will and not because she is forced to do it because of the difficult financial situation or because she is forced to do it by a pimp and she is a sex slave and she cannot even talk about it out of fear of being harmed by the pimp, than I am responsible for the abuse done to these women or men.
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that if I pay the prostitute for her services more than she is normally supposed to get, then my responsibility for the abuse will be somehow forgotten and justified.
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I deserve to be served by the prostitute after I pay her money, because I have worked hard to get this money thus I have the right to spend them in whichever way I want and this is fair exchange.
